Fairlanes Marine Parade New Brighton Wallasey

The centre, the seventh to be opened in the UK by Fairlanes is believed to have been built on the former site of the Wilkies Circus. The centre was equipped with 24 lanes and pinspotters supplied by AMF.

The Gala opening was on Saturday 19th October 1963 with, Hollywood star, Douglas Fairbanks in attendance. The mayor of Wallasey was invited to roll the first ball by centre manager Jack White who formerly managed the Fairlanes centre in Hull.

The centre was later taken over by Granada Bowling although it is not clear when this was. Granada moved on later and the centre is still open today.
