Excel Bowling Ltd continued its expansion when, on 27th August 1963 it opened the 22-lane centre in Torquay. In keeping with the company’s policy, the centre was equipped with lanes and machines supplied by AMF. As was the case with most new centres, tenpin bowling proved very popular in Torquay.
However, by May 1965 the centre was operated by Wyvern Bowling Ltd and, in a further change the company became Beaver Bowling Ltd from July 1969. No other information about the centre is known.
