In 2013 our Hall of fame became a reality when we inducted the first four bowlers at the Weber Cup in Barnsley. A big crowd cheering as we inducted Pauline Buck, Kirsten Penny, Bernie Caterer and Dominic Barrett. It’s 2022 now and ten years later we were back in Barnsley to induct two from Yorkshire.
Fiona “Finny” Banks and Wayne Greenall joining the greats of our sport and finally inducted into our hall of fame in front of friends, family and bowlers at Barnsley bowl.
The presentation, held before the league saw Hall of Fame president David Grainger welcome everyone and introduce our inductees and their achievements and special guests to present the awards. Former England international Hayley Rumkee presenting to Finny and Yorkshire Legend Al Jenkins presenting to Wayne and stepping in for another legend and Hall of Famer Ron Oldfield who sadly was unable to attend on the night.
