The Top Rank Bowl in Gateshead opened on 19th May 1965 and was equipped with 24 lanes and machines supplied by AMF. It is believed it was one of the last few centres to be opened by the Rank Organisation. Very little information is available about the building or operation of the bowling centre and it is understood to have closed sometime in February 1970, possibly on the 20th.
